TYPOLOGY

BUMBLEBEE LAB

This project challenges the traditional insularity of scientific facilities by creating an open, community-integrated research lab dedicated to addressing bumblebee declination. Designed as a 'walking exhibition,' the architecture dissolves the boundaries between specialized research and public space.

The building functions as a porous civic pavilion where active laboratories, public exhibition galleries, and open-air lecture spaces intersect. Passersby are invited to move seamlessly through the facility, engaging with live research, attending community talks, and witnessing ecological science in real-time. It is an architecture of radical transparency—turning a critical environmental lab into a shared public learning landscape.
